Asia Business Center

The visionary concept of a business college at the University of California was first proposed by Arthur Rogers, a Berkeley graduate and well-traveled business professional. In his 1883 commencement address, he envisioned:

"The Occident and the Orient,
the past and the present,
will here commingle their culture
and the Pacific will be illuminated from Berkeley."

Arthur Rogers First Envisioned a Business School at Berkeley

The Asia Business Center builds on Rogers' initial vision by joining the East and West to create a sum greater than each part.

The ABC develops high-impact programs and forges strategic partnerships between University of California, Berkeley and reputable institutions in Asia to provide excellence and leadership in management education and research.

We serve the following countries: China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), India, Korea, Japan, and Singapore.
